Fifteen years of consulting, delivered by one senior operator.

My name is Alexandre do Carmo Pereira. I built ClarityBridge Consulting to do the kind of consulting I always wanted to buy — direct, senior, and honest about what actually moves the numbers.

Founder & Principal Consultant

Alexandre do Carmo Pereira

Portuguese-British. Based in London. Fifteen years across strategy, operations, growth, and finance for founder-led businesses and executive teams.

Why I started ClarityBridge

I have spent most of my career in rooms where important decisions are made — boardrooms, founder off-sites, investor diligence sessions, restructuring workshops. In almost every one, the same pattern shows up: smart, hard-working people, drowning in complexity, defaulting to what feels safe because they don't have an outside voice they trust.

Consultancies were built to solve that problem. Somewhere along the way, most of them lost the plot. They started selling slides instead of decisions. They put juniors on delivery and partners on billing. They wrote strategy documents that were never opened after the final presentation. I have sat on both sides of that transaction and I did not want to run a firm that worked that way.

ClarityBridge exists to be the outside voice founders and executives actually want in the room. Senior. Prepared. Direct. Willing to disagree with you. Kind enough to do it well.

How I work

Every engagement starts with a single question: what decision are we trying to make? If we cannot answer that in one sentence, we are not ready to work together, and I will tell you so on the first call. If we can, we build the engagement backwards from that decision — the analysis, the sessions, the deliverables, the follow-through — so that on the last day of the work we have something we can actually do, not something we can file away.

I deliver every engagement personally. When you hire ClarityBridge you get Alexandre — not a team of juniors with a partner who checks in for the readouts. That is a deliberate limit on how much work I can take on at any one time, and it is the reason clients come back.

Where I've worked

My career started in strategy consulting in London, followed by four years inside a growth-stage SaaS business as head of operations. From there I moved into fractional and independent advisory, working with founder-led teams in professional services, financial services, marketplaces, creator businesses, and B2B software. I have supported companies through fundraising rounds from angel to Series B, through restructurings, through leadership transitions, and through the long ordinary work of building a business quarter by quarter.

I have advised UK sole traders billing £80k a year and European management teams running £40m P&Ls. The advice looks different in each case; the operating discipline is remarkably similar.

What clients tell me they value

Directness. I will tell you what I actually think, on the record, in the first week. If I don't yet know, I will tell you that too.

Preparation. Every session is prepared for. I read the materials. I come with a hypothesis. I am willing to be wrong about it.

Follow-through. Consulting that ends at the final presentation is worth almost nothing. Follow-through is written into every engagement.

Confidentiality. What we discuss stays between us. I do not use client names in marketing without written permission.

How I chose the industries I focus on

I have said no to more industries than I have said yes to. The ones I choose to work in — professional services, SaaS, fintech, marketplaces, and modern creator businesses — share a common shape: they are decision-dense, people-heavy, and easy to over-complicate. That is where good consulting compounds.

If you are running a heavy industrial business, a regulated healthcare provider, or a defence contractor, I am probably not the best person for the job and I will happily refer you to someone who is.

My commitments as a consultant

I keep a written set of commitments that clients can hold me to.

  1. I will tell you what I actually think, in plain English, without hedging.
  2. I will show up prepared to every session. If I have not read something, I will say so.
  3. I will not put you on the phone with anyone but me for the substantive work.
  4. I will keep everything you share confidential, indefinitely.
  5. I will refund unstarted engagements without a fight.
  6. I will refer you elsewhere if I do not think I can help.

How I think about pricing

ClarityBridge prices are deliberately public. I want prospective clients to know what an engagement costs before they book a call — no anchoring games, no "let's discuss investment" theatre. The Business Review at £59 exists so that anyone considering serious work can test the fit for the price of a decent lunch.

Larger engagements are scoped in writing before any money changes hands. You will not receive a surprise invoice from ClarityBridge, ever.

Life outside the work

I live in London with my family. When I am not consulting I read history, walk long distances slowly, and cook badly with real enthusiasm. I write publicly on the ClarityBridge insights page because writing is the discipline that keeps consulting honest.

If you're considering working together

Start with the Business Review. Sixty minutes, £59, written summary, honest recommendation. If we are a fit, we will talk about a longer engagement. If we are not, I will tell you that too, and point you at whoever I think would serve you better. Either way, you will leave the conversation with a clearer view than when you arrived. That is the whole promise.
